I have now owned my SBDX001/MM300 for a month and apart from "dirty" work I have worn it 24/7 on a 22mm notched Isofrane strap and I love it, just ticks all the boxes for me :)
Last night (02-07-17) having had a couple of "stressful" watch related days and now I'm retired i don't do stress :) that was in the past, I felt I needed a little relaxation so I decided to remove the bezel as it was firm to rotate and I knew it had not been touched for some years before I bought it, I never use the bezels on any of my divers but it's nice that they perform as intended.
Bezel removed no problem and no grunge in sight as expected but the gasket was dry so greased it with Seiko silicone and now all good.
Then I got to thinking as you do "I wonder if I should regulate it", in the month I have owned it the gain has been a consistent + almost 7 seconds a day, quite acceptable really but I'm sure it can be bettered !! :)
So bezel back off, crystal cartridge removed (quality bit of kit that is in my opinion) before removing the movement I dropped it on the Timegrapher to check the reading (+8) finger clots fitted and ready to remove the movement, all straight forward, tickled the regulator with a 1.2mm screw driver and the results can be seen below on the Timegrapher, pretty pleased with the MM and myself :)
24 hour time check against atomic clock shows it has gained one(1) second !!! really chuffed with that, now to see how it performs over the week.
